The Space Travel Editorial Team produces Space Travel's coverage of human spaceflight and access to space. We report on launch, crewed missions and space tourism, and the propulsion, vehicles and human factors of getting people to space. Articles reflect our team's collective editorial process, source verification, drafting, technical review, and editing, rather than a single writer's work. SpaceX is not only taking a 3D printer to space, but mice too

Cape Canaveral, Fla. (UPI) Sep 21, 2014 - Not only is SpaceX helping NASA send a 3D printer to space, but they're also taking mice and mutant flies to the International Space Station. The crew of 20 female mice will be a good test for SpaceX for the future possibility of them delivering humans to the space station. The launch went forward without any issues on Sunday morning after being delayed for 24 hours due to poor weather conditions. The cargo is expected to reach the space station on Tuesday.
