The Space Foundation will hold the fifth annual Space Career Fair on April 12, 2007, in conjunction with the 23rd National Space Symposium at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs. This event is open to undergraduate and graduate students as well as transitioning military.
The National Space Symposium is the premier annual space industry conference, and is scheduled April 9-12. The location and timing of the Space Career Fair provide unique opportunities for attendees to meet, interact, and potentially interview with the space industry's top companies.
Previous Space Career Fairs have attracted between 300 and 500 attendees from across the country along with many of the largest employers in the space industry. Companies participating in this year's Career Fair include Aerojet, The Aerospace Corporation, Ball Aerospace and Technologies Corp., The Boeing Company, Booz Allen Hamilton, General Dynamics, ITT Space Systems, ITT Systems Division, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman. Educational institutions with space related programs including the International Space University will also be in attendance.
In addition to the potential for quality interviews, this year's event will also feature "Meet the Company" presentations; a networking luncheon with special guest speaker, former astronaut, John Harrington; and door prizes including scholarships, airline tickets and space memorabilia. Attendees will also receive a visitor's pass into the Ball Aerospace Exhibit Center.
