Germany's conservative opposition leader Friedrich Merz, who is tipped to replace Chancellor Olaf Scholz in February elections, repeated his commitment to sending German-made Taurus missiles to Ukraine on a visit to the country Monday.
"President Zelensky knows our position on Taurus missiles… As it stands today, at the beginning of December 2024, it remains the same," Merz said at a press conference with the Ukrainian leader in Kyiv.
