Abound Solar has announced a partnership and distributorship with Thesan, a designer and manufacturer of solutions for the renewable energy and energy efficiency industries. The companies will work together to provide functional and economic solutions based on Abound Solar's next-generation thin-film modules and the innovative design of Thesan's racking system "Around You" which reduces labor costs associated with module installation up to 57 percent.
Abound Solar, based in Colorado, United States, recently closed a $400 million loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to fund the expansion of the company's manufacturing capacity that will soon be the largest manufacturing facility in the United States.
This ramp in capacity will help cater to the demand for its solar products in Italy, Germany, India and North America, and spur new growth in employment.
Thesan is a leading solar system integrator in Italy in commercial scale applications. Headquartered in Chiusa di San Michele, Italy, Thesan's model for solar installations is effective and sustainable.
